Video Series

I’ve created a series of ten short videos to help demystify the process of psychotherapy and address common concerns.

Whether you’re unsure about starting therapy, wondering what to expect, or curious about how to choose the right therapist, these videos provide clear and practical insights.

From understanding different schools of therapy to knowing when it’s time to finish, each video is designed to guide you through the complexities of therapy with ease.

Frequently asked questions

What can I expect from the first therapy session?

This session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other better (and for us to see if I am the right therapist for you).

We will discuss what brings you to therapy now, and what you hope to get out of it. In that way we have a clear focus on what to work on. Ideally this should comprise one or two objectives only.

We will also discuss boundaries such as confidentiality, time, money etc.

It will also be the opportunity for you to ask any questions or allay any concerns/anxieties you may have.

The boring bit! My theoretical backdrop to my therapeutic approach

I am trained in Integrative Psychotherapy at the world-famous Metanoia Institute.

Having an ‘integrative framework’ means I have surrounded myself with the theories and techniques from many different schools of psychotherapy that most connect with my values and beliefs (for example, I believe in the importance of relationships, the  immense untapped potential of every human, and the possibility of change).

Theoretical schools I align with include Psychoanalysis, Transactional analysis, Object-relations, Existential and Gestalt (to name but a few).

Who I work with

I love working with all kinds of people. I really like getting to know them as unique, special individuals, full of all their wonderful ways of being.

In particular I am passionate and deeply interested in two areas: people struggling with their relationships (which can include the relationship they have with themselves) and also people in stressful, high pressure corporate roles.

I also enjoy wrestling with the complexity of teams and organisations.

Location
My sessions take place in:

Token House, 11-12 Tokenhouse Yard, London EC2R 7AS

How I like to work with you as your therapist

My aim is to create a warm, safe, supportive (yet sometimes challenging) place to help you navigate through the complexities of your relationships and work-life.

I like to treat the person, not the issue; to see the individual and not the ‘label’. I want to see and acknowledge all the complexity that makes you uniquely you.

I will accept you exactly as you are and work with you to help you reach a greater sense of tranquility and balance.

Together we will help you have a greater understanding of yourself, find renewed meaning, along with a sense of control and purpose in your life.

I have no one-set way of working; no pre-designed pattern of questions or a structured way of moving through the sessions with you. That is because everyone is different. Instead,  I ‘dance’ with your unique personality and specific issues.

How I deliver therapy?

I primarily work in person from central London – EC2.

We will typically contract to work for a period (say 12 weeks) and review where we are every six weeks. Typically, I like four sessions’ notice so it allows us time to properly finish.

I offer a free, 15-minute no-obligation Zoom(/call), to discuss any questions and for you to see if I am the right ‘fit’ for you.

Fees

My fees are £105 per 50-minute session (Paid electronically in advance or cash on the day).

I appreciate this may sound expensive but consider this an investment in the quality of your life – what price do you put on tranquility and happiness?

Cancellation charges:

I appreciate there may be legitimate times you cannot make it and I will try to be as flexible as possible. But I am also aware there are some boundaries for both of us:

  • Free if more than 24 hours in advance.
  • 50% if more than 12 but less than 24 hours in advance.
  • Full fee any time after that.
